A small family home in Edmonds.

Fig.2: Care that feels like family
Our story
Addishiwot Abera, a licensed adult family home provider, founded Seaview Caring so that older adults and people with disabilities could get care without giving up their comfort, their dignity or the feeling of being at home.
Seaview has six beds and is licensed by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (license #754341). We keep it at six on purpose, so every resident is known as a person.
Our purpose
The care we would want for our own parents.
Personal care around the clock in a residential home, planned around each resident's history, preferences and independence.
Our vision
A house people are glad to come home to.
We want dinners with conversation, caregivers who stay for years, and families who leave a visit less worried than when they came.
How Seaview started
I.
Caring for our own
It started with caring for family members at home and seeing how much patience, good food and familiar faces helped.
II.
Getting licensed
State training, inspections and a DSHS license. We decided early on to stay small.
III.
Specialized training
The team trained in dementia, mental health and developmental disability care, and works with local doctors and providers.
IV.
Today
Today Seaview is a busy, happy house, with birthday dinners, the garden and family visits.

Who looks after your family
Every caregiver is background-checked, state-certified and trained in dementia, mental health and developmental disability care, as well as first aid and CPR.
